Dear Texas Woman鈥檚 Community,

隆Feliz viernes! Happy Friday!

I know many of you may feel like you are holding it together with some string and paperclips. I can only imagine that a well-ventilated breakroom would be a profitable business these days. So, today, I wanted to spend a few minutes talking about emotional labor鈥攎aintaining a positive outlook in spite of all your feelings inside. As someone who has spent the better portion of her scholarly output studying listening, I think time spent listening to each other is a particularly valid鈥攁nd needed鈥攆orm of emotional labor.

So, for all the various forms of labor and for the grace you have given each other this week, I am grateful. I hope you find some peace and joy this weekend to rejuvenate your body, mind, and spirit! 隆Que tengan un buen fin de semana!
