Calie Willis, Chief of Strategic Relationships, City of Coppell

Calie Willis is a proud alumna of Texas Woman’s University and serves as Chief of Strategic Relationships for the City of Coppell, where she leads strategic initiatives focused on employee culture and engagement, community partnerships, and legislative advocacy at the state and federal levels. Working from the City Manager’s Office, she collaborates with executive leadership, elected officials, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders to strengthen civic relationships and advance local government priorities.

Before transitioning to the City Manager’s Office, Calie spent more than 15 years in parks and recreation, serving communities across the DFW Metroplex. Her experience spans outdoor recreation, aquatics, recreation centers, summer camps, senior adult programming, and nature preserve management, work that deepened her belief in the power of local government to improve everyday quality of life.

Calie currently serves as Legislative Director for the Texas Recreation and Park Society, helping guide public policy priorities affecting parks, recreation, and local communities across Texas. She is passionate about helping people understand how local government shapes thriving communities and how leadership, relationships, and public service create lasting impact. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from 探花楼, is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional, and is pursuing graduate studies in public administration.
