Cassey Ogden, Interim City Manager, City of Denton
Cassey Ogden was appointed Interim City Manager on March 3, 2026 following a unanimous vote of the Denton City Council.
With years of dedicated service to the Denton community, Ogden brings an understanding of the City’s strategic goals, infrastructure needs, and municipal budget. Her tenure with the City of Denton began in 2008, rising through the organization in roles in Water Utilities, Procurement, and Finance. Before her promotion to Assistant City Manager in 2023, she served as the City’s Chief Financial Officer. In her capacity as Deputy City Manager, Ogden oversaw Denton Municipal Electric, Development Services, Human Resources, Fire/EMS, Water Utilities, Public Works, and Animal Services.
Cassey is a proud alumna of Texas Woman’s University, where she earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees. Ogden maintains active memberships in the Government Finance Officers Association, International City/County Management Association, and the North Texas Women Leading Government. She is a board member on the Greater Dallas Planning Council North Committee.
