Christine Taylor, Assistant City Manager, City of Denton
Christine Taylor serves as Assistant City Manager for the City of Denton, bringing over 23 years of local government expertise to the executive leadership team. Appointed in 2022, she oversees a diverse portfolio that includes Economic Development, Finance, the Office of Strategy and Budget, City Secretary’s Office, Technology Services, Community Services, Parks and Recreation, and Water Utilities, while acting as a strategic bridge between City Council policy and municipal operations.
A proud University of North Texas alumna with a Master of Public Administration, Christine has a proven track record of advancing Council priorities. Her notable accomplishments include negotiating the incentive agreement for the historic Fine Arts Theater redevelopment, implementing the Tourism Public Improvement District, and championing community-building efforts such as the creation of Denton Halloween. Deeply invested in the city she serves, Christine and her husband, Luke, have been married for 24 years and have three children.
