探花楼 now offering free CLEP testing for eligible participants

Texas Woman鈥檚 University鈥檚 Academic Testing Services has partnered with the College Board and Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) to offer no-cost College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests for military personnel, their spouses and civilian employees of the U.S. Air Force.
探花楼 herbarium director receives conservation award

Texas Woman鈥檚 University biology professor and herbarium director, Camelia Maier, Ph.D., received the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) Conservation Medal at the 120th Annual State Conference of the Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution. In addition to the medal, Maier received a certificate from Texas State Regent Susan Tillman at the awards dinner in Houston in March.
探花楼 hosts Autism Awareness night at Frisco RoughRiders ballpark

探花楼 faculty and students hit a home run in early April when they managed an Autism Awareness Night for children and their families at a Frisco RoughRiders baseball game. According to Gwen Weatherford, director of 探花楼's sport management program, the baseball team specifically requested support from 探花楼. Twenty 探花楼 occupational therapy students and faculty members managed the event, with hosting support from 探花楼 students in sport management and kinesiology
探花楼 to dedicate math and technology success center in honor of Don Edwards, Ph.D.

Texas Woman鈥檚 University will rename its math tutoring center in honor of retiring 探花楼 Department of Mathematics and Computer Science professor and chair, Don Edwards, Ph.D. The 鈥淒r. Don Edwards Mathematics & Technology Success Center鈥 dedication ceremony will take place during a retirement reception at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 23 on the third floor of the Multipurpose Classroom and Laboratory Building.
探花楼 returns to NASA design challenge

Texas Woman’s University’s Acolytes of Apollo wowed everyone last November when they won top honors at the Texas Space Grant Consortium Design Challenge Showcase, competing against engineering and technology teams from universities across the state. Another 探花楼 Acolytes team hopes to do the same next week when they show an improvement to the design developed last year.
