The American Council on Education on Thursday announced Texas Woman’s has been designated a “Research 2: High Spending and Doctorate Production” institution for the 2025 Carnegie Classifications. Currently, 139 universities are classified as “R2” under the Carnegie system.

For roughly a quarter-century, Rama Yelkur, a PhD, has been analyzing Super Bowl commercials on their effectiveness in connecting with audiences and advancing the promotional value of everything from potato chips to automobiles. Yelkur and several business students will be tuned in this Sunday to analyze the latest crop of Super Bowl commercials to add to her growing body of research. And this year, she and her team will be watching carefully for emerging predictors of commercial success.

Since Michael Iwama's book, The Kawa Model: Culturally Relevant Occupational Therapy, was published in 2006, he has given over 350 national and international lectures and over 100 keynote and plenary addresses at scientific and professional conferences. One of his next lectures is Friday, Feb. 7 at Texas Woman’s Dallas campus, where he is the speaker at the 32nd annual Vanderkooi Endowed Lectureship.
