Lankes Webinar to Focus on New Librarianship

The Texas Woman鈥檚 University School of Library Information Studies is proud to host Dr. R. David Lankes at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in a webinar on New Librarianship: The Knowledge Business.

Lankes, the author of 鈥淭he Atlas of New Librarianship鈥� and 鈥淓xpect More鈥�, was the recipient of the American Library Association鈥檚 2016 Ken Haycock Award for Promoting Librarianship. His book, 鈥淭he Atlas of New Librarianship鈥� won the 2012 ABC-CLIO/Greenwood Award for the Best Book in Library Literature. He has been a visiting fellow at the National Library of Canada, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and was the first fellow of ALA鈥檚 Office for Information Technology Policy.
Attendees can expect knowledge about the mindset, skills and steps to take to facilitate change with local communities.
