This summer, Iquail Shaheed presented and successfully defended his dissertation to become the first Black male to earn a PhD in dance at ̽»¨Â¥.

"I am a doctor of dance," Shaheed said. "A doctor of joyous dance. I'm so excited, I can't believe it."

̽»¨Â¥ debuts Multicultural Women's and Gender Studies bachelor's degree

̽»¨Â¥ is offering a bachelor's degree in Multicultural Women's and Gender Studies beginning in Fall 2022.

Two volunteers in a clinical drug trial for a new antidepressant deal with the ramifications of their newly awakened emotions in The Effect, a play by Lucy Prebble that will open the 2022-23 season of the Texas Woman’s University’s Theatre program.

The 2022-23 season will consist of four plays.
