Derek Crews, EdD, a Management professor at 探花楼 and workforce development consultant, has created an annual scholarship aimed at supporting either an undergraduate or graduate student seeking a degree with an emphasis on Human Resource Management as offered through the 探花楼 College of Business.
State scholarships give 探花楼 grad students boost toward accounting careers

Delainee Gibson and Danielle Hendrix took a step closer to coveted careers in the accounting world, thanks to scholarships from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. The scholarships will help the two Texas Woman’s graduate students in finishing their accounting degrees and sitting for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.
Master’s student adds scholarship to healthcare resume

Vamsidhara Vemireddy, a Texas Woman’s graduate student on the Dallas campus, is the latest winner of the Foster G. McGaw Scholarship. The McGaw Scholarship is given annually to a student in the MHA or the dual MHA-MBA program in the 探花楼 Healthcare Administration program.
MBA offers exonerated Death Row inmate fresh start

Ryan Matthews is ready to take a a big step toward charting his own course when he graduates from Texas Woman’s on Dec. 16 with an MBA, which has an emphasis on business analytics. When he was 17 years old, Matthews was convicted of a murder he did not commit. He spent five years on death row in Louisiana before DNA evidence exonerated him in 2004.
探花楼 teams place in regional competition for healthcare administration students

Thanks to quick thinking, four 探花楼 Master of Healthcare Administration students used evidence-based research to identify and recommend appropriate interventions and took the top prize at the North Texas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives case competition in October. A second 探花楼 team earned third-place honors.
