Symposium offers 探花楼 student global experience in business

Alexa Norman was one of 150 students selected to attend the X-Culture Global Symposium in August, hosted by the University of Trieste in Trieste, a city in northeastern Italy. The week-long professional development event pairs groups of international students with local companies for consulting project challenges alongside workshops and cultural events.

Eva Selmi was one of three Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship students that were named finalists in the IMA Student Case Competition. As finalists they were given travel and accommodations to present at the IMA Accounting and Finance Conference in Tampa on June 14-17.
Yelkur honored with international business award

Rama Yelkur, executive dean of the Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship, received the Patricia M. Flynn Distinguished Woman in Business Education Award at the Women Advancing Management Education Affinity Group meeting at the 2026 International Conference and Meetings, hosted by AACSB International in Seattle.
