Visiting faculty member lands coveted fellowship

 Texas Woman’s Dallas visiting assistant professor Tianyi Li, who teaches health care administration at the Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship, was just one of 27 professionals from around the country to receive the Founders’ Fellow recognition from the ASPA. The ASPA is the leading professional membership association for public service.

The Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship celebrated its achievements from the 2024-25 school year with the second annual Best in Business Banquet on Wednesday, April 23. Students, staff, faculty alumni and community members were recognized for their outstanding achievements.

From troubled past to dual master’s grad

Vivian Orellana is graduating from Texas Woman’s Houston campus with a dual Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration (MHA/MBA) degree with an emphasis in global health. It would be an understatement to say that her path to obtaining these degrees was challenging.

Education abroad experience leads to overseas career

探花楼 graduate student Jackie Farias felt a strong pull to Ireland, leading her to participate in an internship program in Dublin through 探花楼’s Education Abroad. After completing her internship, Farias was offered a full-time position and has been living in Dublin since January 2025.

探花楼 alum finds purpose in Rangers outreach program

Jesse Malone, who graduated from 探花楼 in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, is the senior manager of the Academy Outreach and Education Programs at the Texas Rangers Baseball Club. She is beginning her 10th season with the Rangers after  starting as a youth ballpark intern when she was a junior at 探花楼.
