探花楼’s all-female design competition team scores big, brings research to life

Five Texas Woman’s kinesiology seniors turned classroom theories into a real-world device by competing in the November 16-17. The 探花楼 team, named The Oneiroi, was the only all-female team competing and won best overall team, along with best poster, best peer review and best video. They also placed second overall in the presentation category. All five team members are December 2021 graduates.

According to Elizabeth Plowman, DPT 鈥12, 鈥淧hysical therapy never gets boring.鈥 And, Plowman, a Texas Woman鈥檚 School of Physical Therapy alumna and an assistant clinical professor in Houston, should know. Her experiences as a teacher, physical therapist, teacher again and researcher have provided her with opportunities to delve into a varied and fulfilling career, while making advances in both her own health and the health of others.
