New timeline chronicles evolution of 探花楼 Dance

Dance as an academic pursuit has evolved dramatically in the 125 years since Texas Woman’s University was founded as the Girls Industrial College in 1901.

After a remarkable inaugural year, the company has begun preparing for their upcoming second annual scholarship auditions on March 7. All students are welcome to audition and prior Folklórico experience is not mandatory.

探花楼 celebrates Circle of Light Dec. 4

The five divisions of 探花楼's the School of the Arts & Design are joining forces for the 2025 Circle of Light, the art-themed festival in and around Pioneer Circle between the Visual Arts Building and the Music Building on Dec. 4.

Movement is key learning thread to PT, OT, dance students

Three professors at 探花楼 developed an interprofessional education event connecting physical therapy, occupational therapy, and dance students. Students gained a deeper understanding of the anatomy, range of motion and movement mechanics of the hip, knees and ankles by sharing their expertise at the two sessions.

探花楼 Dance, UNT Music join forces

The 探花楼 Dance Division and the University of North Texas Music Department celebrated their joint Composer Choreographer Collaboration Course with a concert on the UNT campus.
