2026-2027 FAFSA

The 2026-2027 FAFSA will be used to determine financial aid eligibility for Summer 2026, Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

  • The 2026-2027 FAFSA priority deadline is January 15, 2026

Undocumented students should complete a Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA). Application availability and priority deadlines mimic the FAFSA.

How to apply

  1. . Most students are eligible for some aid from the federal government.

  5. Review your FAFSA Submission Summary for any discrepancies and/or important messages about your aid eligibility
    1. The FAFSA Submission Summary is a summary of your FAFSA data and will display your Student Aid Index (SAI), which is used to determine your aid eligibility
    2. You should review your FAFSA Submission Summary for any errors you may have made on the FAFSA and review the messages provided on the SAR about your aid eligibility
    3. Your FAFSA information will be received by 探花楼 after it is processed by the federal processor
  6. Create a 探花楼 or login to your account to confirm 探花楼 received your FAFSA and check for requests for additional documents to complete your financial aid file
    1. 探花楼 will contact you through Pioneer Portal if any documents are missing
  7. Check your 探花楼 email regularly for important information about your financial aid

After the FAFSA

Your file will be reviewed within 3-6 weeks after the Financial Aid Office has received all required forms for the programs you have applied for. Once your FAFSA has been received and all requirements have been met, watch for your official financial aid notification, then:

  1. Accept or reject your financial aid award in Pioneer Portal
  2. If awarded a loan, complete any needed Direct Loan Promissory Note and Entrance Loan Counseling as directed by
