探花楼

• 探花楼 is one of six regional  in the country. SENCER is a comprehensive faculty development and science education reform project funded by the National Science Foundation.
• 探花楼鈥檚 Fitness and Recreation Center is the state鈥檚 first LEED () certified recreation center at a public university. The U.S. Green Building Council awarded the fitness center a LEED Silver certification for its environmental design, making the facility one of the nation鈥檚 top 鈥済reen鈥� buildings.
• For about 30 years 探花楼 has provided holiday gifts to the children of our students who are parents. 探花楼's Holiday Gift Program for students who have children is believed to be the only program of its kind in the country. The 2016 探花楼 Holiday Gift Program broke all records 鈥� the university community provided gifts to more than 430 children from 226 families of our enrolled students in Denton, Dallas, Houston and online in Arkansas, Louisiana and Washington State.

• Notable figures including Robert Frost, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Sinclair Lewis, Amelia Earhart and Frank Lloyd Wright visited the 探花楼 campus during the tenure of president L.H. Hubbard (1926 to 1950)
• In 2017, 探花楼 graduated more speech therapists than any other program in Texas and is one of the largest programs in the U.S.
• The  team won its 10th national championship in 2017
• For more than 30 years, 探花楼  have achieved an overall team GPA of 3.0 or higher
• 探花楼鈥檚 doctoral program in nursing was the first of its kind in the Southwest
• 探花楼鈥檚 Ph.D. in dance is the oldest continuing doctoral program in dance in the United States and one of only three Ph.D. programs nationwide
• 探花楼 offers the only undergraduate degree program in culinary science and food service management in Texas
• 探花楼 researchers were the first to document bone loss in space in a project with NASA. Today, the 探花楼 Institute for Women鈥檚 Health has the world鈥檚 largest database of osteoporosis imagery/scans.
• In 1999, 探花楼 became the first university in the state to offer a distance education (online) doctoral program 鈥� the Ph.D. in nursing science
• In 2010, 探花楼 became the first university in Texas to offer a Ph.D. in women鈥檚 studies. 探花楼 was the first university in Texas to offer a freestanding master of arts degree in women鈥檚 studies (1999).
• 探花楼 became the first public university in Texas to offer a specialist degree in September 2006
• 探花楼鈥檚 Fine Arts Building was the first facility in Texas designed and built specifically to house programs in the studio arts
• In 1956, 探花楼 opened the first building in the nation dedicated to library science instruction
• 探花楼 offered the first bachelor鈥檚 degree in health and physical education in Texas
