Alumna Natsuko Oshima, PT, DPT received the competition poster award at the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science conference in Limerick, Ireland for her research on how effects of abrupt tempo changes in music affects the jumping mechanism of ballet dancers.

PT student awarded grant to study hip ailments

Libby Bergman, PT, DPT who attends the 探花楼 Institute of Health Sciences - Houston Center, was awarded a $1,000 grant from the 探花楼 Experiential Student Scholar Program to research methods of diagnosing hip ailments to better address pain treatment.
PT professor, co-author to expand study on aortic diseases

Texas Woman’s School of Physical Therapy assistant professor Jennifer Bogardus, PT, PhD, and a co-principal investigator have received $2 million in funding for a study on the effects of moderate exercise in pediatric patients with diseases affecting the aorta.
Regents give green light to health science building project

The Texas Woman鈥檚 University System Board of Regents today approved a plan to build a 175,000-square-foot health science center for the Denton campus to support growth in the colleges of health sciences and nursing and other collaborative efforts.
