Texas rural libraries are in line for a boost thanks to a Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) tuition grant in the amount of $75,000 awarded to School of Library and Information Studies Director Gretchen Hoffman, PhD.

SLIS presents Alumni Awards

Beatrice Canales, Melinda Rietkerk and Asha Norman were all recognized with alumni awards from the School of Library and Information Studies. Alumni awards were presented at the SLIS reception in April at the 2024 TLA Conference in San Antonio.

The annual Texas Library Association (TLA) conference is a regular highlight in the calendar for the School of Library and Information Studies at 探花楼. That was the case again in 2024 as representatives from the school attended the conference in San Antonio on April 16-19.
