As the elected delegate body of the Graduate Faculty, the Graduate Council formulates Graduate School policies and oversees matters affecting the University's graduate programs. Its mission is to promote excellence throughout the graduate community.

Core Responsibilities:

• Policy Formulation: Establishes guidelines for student admission and retention, course loads, transfer credits, research requirements, and minimum standards.
• Program Review: Evaluates proposals for new and revised graduate programs.
• Faculty Advancement: Determines Graduate Faculty membership requirements and supports ongoing career growth and development.
