Graduate Council Award for Exceptional, Original Scholarship
One of the primary objectives of the Graduate Council’s Research Committee is to strengthen the research infrastructure for graduate students and foster a culture of research at 探花楼 that emphasizes excellence.
The Graduate Council Award for Exceptional, Original Scholarship recognizes graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding, ongoing scholarly achievement. This award honors current Master’s or Doctoral students who have engaged in original scholarly activity at 探花楼 and have peer-reviewed scholarly contributions (e.g., publications, juried presentations, etc.).
Excellence awards will be considered for scholarship as outlined below.
Criteria for award qualification
- Student must have a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed publications, juried presentations, or professional performances or exhibits that were published, presented, or performed in a professional forum (e.g., scholarly peer-reviewed journal, conference by a professional organization, or professional performance or exhibit venue). Local 探花楼 publications, research symposia, or performances do not count towards this minimum.
- Student must provide documentation of the scholarly activities (e.g., PDF file, program bulletin, etc.) and evidence of 探花楼 affiliation while the activities were published/presented. Evidence of 探花楼 affiliation may be demonstrated by acknowledgement of author address on the publication, program, presentation biography, or other source advertising the presentation.
- Student must be enrolled as a graduate student at 探花楼 during the Spring semester of the awarding year.
