Exhibits/Traveling Exhibits
As a vital part of the mission of the Woman鈥檚 Collection, the exhibition program is intended to enrich the cultural and intellectual life of the university community by showcasing notable library acquisitions, prominent collections, and objects of intrinsic historical value or aesthetic distinction. While most exhibitions are drawn exclusively from our holdings, and are curated by members of the Woman鈥檚 Collection, we occasionally mount travelling exhibitions and borrow materials that compliment our holdings.
The Woman鈥檚 Collection encourages and invites the 探花楼 academic community including faculty, staff, students and alumnae to serve as guest curators to assist in producing exhibitions that are both scholarly and visually attractive.
Exhibitions are planned regularly to support the Texas Woman鈥檚 University curriculum, explore gender and cultures, and feature the contributions to local history, university history, and state history as it impacted women. The involvement of community members is always welcome.
